We meet on the 3rd Sunday between 11.30 and 2.30. We have recently moved venue to the Tudor Oaks Lodge just off the A1 northbound at Astwick.


When I agreed to take on the role of Regional Organiser for Herts and Beds I had envisaged a hard slog for maybe a year trying to attract members to our meetings. The region had been inactive for quite a time and everyone had drifted off to other regions. What I hadn’t seen in that Crystal Topaz ball was the third Sunday of the month disappearing in a whirlwind of beautiful exhaust noise and animated friendly conversation.

The most impressive things though are the number of regular visitors and the positive feedback I get following each meeting. Thank you to those that take the trouble to email me, it is good to hear from you and it is great to get confirmation that we are achieving our objective of a friendly, active and welcoming region.

We have now clocked up our 2nd birthday since reactivating the region in November 2006 We have had well over 130 different TVR’s to the meetings and have an increasing number of ‘regulars’. I now have a growing database of email contacts so I can keep people informed of any new events or amended plans. If you haven’t made it to one of the meetings yet please feel free to email me to be included on the list.
